In a conversation with Robin Warshaw 10 years after her initial breast cancer diagnosis during the pregnancy of her first, long awaited child, Gillian Lichota discusses the choices she’s made regarding treatment, her metastatic recurrence, parenthood, and more. Previously a marine biologist for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration in Washington, D.C., Gillian founded and heads up the iRise Above Foundation, which provides health and wellness tools to young women so they can rise above breast cancer’s effects and live well.
